Nobody thinks twice about an athlete taking a break to recover from the amount of energy used up when performing to their physical utmost.
If you think about the amount of energy you use to fuel your mental output, it’s not surprising to learn then, that your mental performance will suffer if you also don’t take time to recover. A 15 minute break every 90 minutes is recommended, but if this is impractical, remember to take regular breaks, and your performance will improve as a result.
