This video is bold. It's Honest. It's Real. It's my story.
...and I want to get it out there.
My name is Josie Thompson and in this brief video I have chosen to be brave. I have chosen to embrace courage and defy the stigma and taboos of society regarding mental illness. I have chosen to share with the world my journey for joy as I fight for my life every.single.day.
This is my story of finding light in darkness and joy in sorrow. It all started with one girl who couldn't get out of bed. Yet that one crazy girl had even crazier faith and discovered that SHE DID NOT HAVE TO BE HEALED TO HELP. There began her journey for JOY and her resolve TO BE THE GIRL WHO BRINGS LIGHT TO OTHERS THROUGH HER DARKNESS.
The 444 Project and its message of JOY has since taken flight across the world. Now three years later and just three days before we take 30 volunteers to leave for our humanitarian project in The Philippines, we are thrilled to officially announce that The 444 Project is now a recognized NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION!!!!
MAJOR THANKS to our dear friend and attorney Scott Lawler and his amazing wife Amanda Lawler, who have both donated hours and HOURS of time and money to help us achieve our goals. Also MAJOR THANKS to our talented videographers Jake Johnson and Stephen Moyer, who made the following video that captures PERFECTLY, my story and the creation of The 444 Project. And of course, MAJOR THANKS to Brighton Solomon, Olivia Evans, Ryan King Ogden, and everyone else who is helping with our mission to BRING JOY TO THE WORLD!!!
We sooo appreciate all of your support and donations. If you know of any individual/company/organization looking to sponsor or donate, please contact us through our website at www.the444project.com. (*ALL donations are tax deductible!)
Remember to follow our third project, as we serve in The Philippines! And please continue to spread the good word about The 444 Project, and SHARE THIS VIDEO WITH YOUR FRIENDS!!!
WE LOVE YOU ALL!

"I quit taking the meds. A week later I saw the neurologist. The tests were inconclusive. From there I was sent to see yet another shrink. I was a mess."
