Video Description

"When a music composer enters the locked in-patient schizophrenia unit at CAMH to lead drumming and music sessions, clients are transformed for that one hour. Music takes us into the lives and stories of people living there, some for decades.

ONE CALM HOUR is a documentary film produced over one year of working with the drumming and music groups at CAMH. It is being screened across Canada to raise awareness about schizophrenia, and to raise funds for purchasing drums and musical instruments for the clients at CAMH."

Quotes

"I had gradual onset schizophrenia but a bad LSD trip is what triggered my psychosis. I had smoked pot daily for my last two years of high school, drank every weekend and occasionally took acid."
