Video Description

"In approximately 5 months, I managed to lose 45kg (100lbs). It started out as a healthy weight-loss but quickly became a full blown eating disorder.

I've suffered with EDNOS: Eating Disorder Not Otherwise Specified (a combination of anorexia, bulimia, binge-eating disorder and orthorexia nervosa), although have only been technically diagnosed as bulimic by specialists.

I wanted to share my experience and show others suffering with eating disorders that you can overcome this and to show you it does get better.

Although I'm only early in recovery, I'm no longer starving and I haven't had a clear mind like this in a long time.

I overcame my disorder with the help of family and friends, research and by discovering and adopting a High Carb Low Fat Vegan Lifestyle. I found that professional help didn't really help me that much, but everyone's experience is different.

I've taken the time to understand how food is processed through the body and used as energy. I've become inspired to one day study health and nutrition, or even work with people suffering with eating disorders."

Quotes

"I had no outstanding family position and felt as if I had no outstanding trait among my peers. I was in competition with them to be thin, smart, popular. This was the beginning of my anorexia."
