Clients in treatment for substance abuse and addiction frequently suffer from eating disorders, as well. Mood and anxiety disorders are common in eating disorders patients. This talk will explore the relationship between these conditions. It will discuss recognition of eating disorders and disordered eating in the treatment setting. Medical aspects of diagnosis, evaluation and management will be reviewed.
